For fans of the most unpopular of the team on Stephen Merchant’s 6 music radio show – Tiny Dan

Dan’s old uni mate Steve has been mocking his height for nigh on 15 years now, which is a bit rich seeing as – unlike Steve – Dan’s close to the national average.
Currently, Dan also pays Mr Merchant money to live in his home. Away from the confines of the show, Dan is a journalist on the BBC Sport website’s football desk and find’s Steve’s indifference to all but the biggest football matches unsettling.

Steve considers Dan’s musical taste poor, oft citing a love of ‘aimless noodly jazz-funk’. Dan considers this slanderous nonsense. He says “I merely prefer soulful music to the navel-gazing singer-songwriters which he loves so. Anyway, my taste is nothing if not broad – 6 Music listeners may be dubious about my love of, say, 4Hero, but hopefully share my obsession with, for example, The Fall…”
