Sammy gained her position as ‘She-J’ after sending in a CD and then coming in and being better than everybody else. She’s 20 and a half, as common as Rufus is posh and generally resides with her parents in Northumberland.

Though having had some minor roles in tellyland and the magical world of film, Sammy has a number of other jobs including teaching children drama in sign language and working in a call centre.

Sammy’s 4 favourite bands are Gomez (who she once met and then immediately fell over), Aqualung, Duke Special and Rufus Wainwright. When she was a child she used to love Gary Glitter. She really wanted to be in his gang. She’s really glad she wasn’t.

Her Dad (a long-haired cowboy boot wearing rocker) is a drummer and taught her to appreciate rock in all its forms. Including prog. Her Mam (a floaty flowery smelling hippy) has helped her to apreiciate the finer points of folk-esque 70’s harmonies.

Sammy has a trampoline, rides a trike and hates peas. But loves you. x
