I dunno about anyone else but that song “yes we have no bananas, we have no bananas today” it always sounds kinda rude like it was code for something else. Your the expert Steve, is it?

Love the peanut song, it is the kinda thing you put on when your having a bath or trying to go sleep and you dont feel like watching the telly.

I am a bit out of the England George Dawes I assume is the guy wearing the 70s (sper chic) one size too small tracksuit right, his peanut shout sounded like it belonged to some old bloke down the market, funny dough.

Mmm, you're right, 'Peanuts' is actually quite traumatic - initial plays occurred while carrying out household chores... it wasn't until I gave it a bloody good listen the other day that I fully realised just how sad it is. So, the moral is, only listen to the first 2 minutes of Peanuts or listen to all of it while changing the duvet cover, unless you want to be found sobbing like an Andre. That said, you can lighten the mood by occasionally blurting 'Yeah I love peanuts' in a Staplesy voice at inappropriate moments throughout the day. Oooh, look what I just found...

Weird innit H, how we both utterly loathe each other and our respective music collections, apart from Tindersticks, who we’re both crazy mad for.

Loving this new album. I actually find the ‘Peanuts’ song tear-inducingly heartbreaking and beautiful (probably because it is endearingly goofy). Also, moody closer ‘Piano Music’ pulls off the unusual trick of sounding both nothing like and exactly the same as The Fall’s ‘I am Damo Suzuki’.

As for categorising, I’m gonna file this one under ‘funky glummers’.
